You want to focus on each other and enjoy this day that’s meant just for the two of you. You want to explore what nature has to offer as a backdrop for you to say your vows. And especially celebrate your day without worrying about pleasing a ton of friends and family.
But here’s the thing. I’m sure you’ve noticed that eloping has just as many moving pieces as a traditional wedding and can still be stressful with all the decisions to make.
Fill out a contact form! I want to get to know the two of you. How you met, your proposal story, your favorite place to grab a bite to eat, anything that describes you two as a couple.
Once you send over a contact form I'll reply with a link to book a video consultation call. We'll chat, quote our favorite movies, become best friends, and probably be interrupted by our dogs.
If you think we're a good fit (which I always hope we are but no hard feelings) I'll send over a contract and invoice for the deposit. Once that's all taken care of you'll officially be in my calendar! WOOO!
From there we'll get to work planning your big day and get the adventure rolling! And of course try to meet up for a beer (or two).
“Thanks to Val we had the most unique and special start to the rest of our lives. Deciding to elope in the mountains of Colorado was the easy part, but many worries came to mind. Which location and time is best? How will we get there? Do we need a change of clothes? And so, so many more. Literally all of these potential stressors were 100% taken care of. I couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable and carefully thought-out environment than the one she created for us. We were encouraged to be ourselves, even sharing jokes and silly moments with each other throughout the day. All of this I feel contributed to the very natural and heart-warming shots she was able to capture. Apart from helping me catch my breath (which she noticed), it reminded us that we were coming together in matrimony in the natural habitat of something greater than the both of us. Few people can say that on their wedding day, they hiked in Colorado during golden hour to read vows on top of a lake that had frozen over. Add us to that list baby! I am so happy that we chose Val to organize and record this singular moment. Easily one of the best decisions we’ve made. Would do it again in a heartbeat!”

“Josh, my now husband, and I planned a trip out to Denver to do some hiking and get some pictures in the mountains by Val. Little did I know, Josh had planned to propose early on in the trip which made for such a great experience during our photo shoot turned engagement shoot! Val suggested some great spots, but was also eager for our input as well which was very much appreciated. She hiked and celebrated with us up to the top where we wanted photos. The hike up was wonderful, 2 mile incline, which is exactly the intensity we wanted. It was so fun getting “glammed” up at the top of the mountain with my new fiancé, truly a moment you could only dream of. This was our first professional photography session ever so we didn’t know what to expect. Val made Josh and I feel comfortable in front of the camera, which, to be honest, is a hard feat to do for Josh. She was able to direct us while also letting us be ourselves. We got our photos back quickly and we have been obsessing over them since! I highly recommend having Val for any engagement or elopement. If we didn’t have such a big close-knit family, we’d do it all again and elope out there :) She has a natural love for adventure, exploring, and photography which makes the entire experience effortless and unforgettable.”
