One of the most exciting parts of eloping is choosing what you want your wedding day to look like! Chastity and Christian wanted to elope someplace more private, while also enjoying the freedom to spend the day how they chose. C+C planned their Colorado elopement in a cozy cabin in the mountains. This cute little A- frame cabin lives about 3 hours from Denver, where you can view the gorgeous mountains and dirt roads for days. One of my favorite parts about this location is turning on a dirt road and driving for a few miles before hitting the main road the cabin lives on.
I arrived early in the morning because they wanted their entire Colorado elopement captured. I absolutely love when couples decide to document the entire day because it truly is a special day that you’ll want to remember the details forever.
C+C took full advantage of all this cozy cabin had to offer- peaceful morning coffee, a hammock swing, and beautiful dirt roads with endless views. To start their wedding day,. C+C wore comfy clothes and enjoyed their morning coffee while soaking up the beautiful mountain views.
After their cozy morning, C+C started to ease into their wedding day by writing their wedding vows. They each took their vow book and went into separate rooms to write their love for one another.
C+C remained in separate rooms while they got ready to do a first look. I loved that you could see the A frame shape of the cabin from inside the cabin, so we decided to have their first look in the main living room, literally framing them together!! I posed Christian to stand tall and face the sliding door while Chastity entered gracefully through the tiny kitchen with a huge grin on her face. As Chastity approached Christian, all giddy, she tapped his shoulder and he obviously reciprocated his happiness and joy the second he saw her in her dress. It was such a special moment!
Once it was time for the ceremony, C + C grabbed their newly written vows and we headed outside to find the perfect spot. They decided to have their ceremony outside on the deck with all the beautiful views surrounding them.
After the couple recited their vows and engaged in a celebratory swing of the hammock, we decided to embark on a little road trip adventure to capture some fun photos of the newlyweds! Although we didn’t have an exact location in mind, we wanted to end at Kenosha Pass. We probably made it down the road about 10-15 minutes before I had to stop and ask C+C if they’d entertain me by posing with the beautiful mountains in the background. They happily agreed and we ran around, using the wind to our advantage with the gorgeous flowy dress to get the perfect dress flip. We stopped a few more times to play around and I even had them hop in the car for a few fun rooftop photos!!
Once we arrived at our destination at Kenosha Pass, we grabbed a few more photos to celebrate Chastity and Christian’s successful Colorado elopement! I had an absolute blast being their third wheel!! C + C arranged their special day and included every detail they wanted to do for their wedding… it was perfect for them. I am so grateful to have documented this fun and intimate elopement in Colorado with Chastity and Christian.
